Isaac's Christmas Holidays

This Christmas was a hectic one for Isaac. It was packed with activities! Here's a run-down:

24 Dec - Christmas Eve @ Godma Flo's place

This year our annual Christmas Eve's gathering was held at Flo's place. Though it was nothing fancy, just a simple dinner with close family members but it was certainly heartwarming. We had a good time catching up with one another while Isaac was kept busy with cheh cheh Alicia, Marissa and Catilin's toy kitchen! This made me more certain that my purchase of the fisher-price toy kitchen set was a sound decision ;P Can't wait for the kitchen set to arrive! Too bad Isaac is an early sleeper and we had to leave at 10pm, an hour past his usual bedtime before Isaac turns into a grouch!

25 Dec - Christmas @ Vincent's place

This is the first time we have spent Christmas together with Vincent and his family, it was certainly fun and we hope that we will be able to do that again next year. Seriously, nothing beats spending such festive periods with your family and loved ones.

26 Dec - Boxing Day @ the Zoo

Now that Isaac is able to walk, we have decided to bring him to the zoo. We thought it would be less crowded on a Friday but we were wrong! The zoo was packed and we spent 45 minutes just to get the tickets! By the time we got into the zoo, Isaac was halfway to la la land. Within the next hour he was in slumber. We had no choice but to stay put in the pavilion for an hour before Isaac woke up. On the whole, the trip is quite fun but we realised that maybe Isaac is still too young to understand or know what's going on. Guess we will have to delay our trip to the Bird Park till a later date.

27 Dec - Haircut

This is Isaac's 3rd haircut. This time we brought him to a neighbourhood salon instead of those children hair salon which only cost $5 instead of the $20! Though Isaac was rather upset by the whole process but he was brave boy and didn't shed a tear. All he did was just some whining but we were still very proud of him :) And he did looked good after his haircut, more like a boy now!

Get the shaver away!
I hate the shaver! :(

Really must cut hair ah, daddy?

Enough lah... Don't cut anymore, pleassse!

1 small step for Isaac, 1 giant leap of joy for daddy & mummy!

After 16 long months, Little Isaac is finally ready, and took his very first step!! With the lure of a Healthy Times biscuit! Boy, am mummy happy today! :)

The day started out bad for mummy with everything that could go wrong at work, went wrong!! Feeling rather down, mummy went home hoping to find some joy with Isaac. And indeed, it was quite a joy for mummy, when Isaac took his first steps towards her!! :) And she couldn't have felt happier and suddenly everything turned out right again.

Sometimes, it's amazing how such little things in life can really touched your heart and brightened up your day instantly :) And I thanked God for this precious gift, Isaac, who never failed to brightened up my day no matter how gloomy it may seems.

Well well, now that Isaac can walk. It's time for mummy and daddy to don on their running shoes to chase after him real soon! But for now, it's three cheers for Isaac, hip hip hooray! For chalking out another major developmental milestone! :)

Taking that 1st step...

Isaac is now 14 months going on to 15 months but he still can't walk on his own. He can pretty much walk and even run with support! But he is just not confident to walk on his own. :( The minute we lose our grip, he will immediately squat down and get on his fours to crawl. But of late he has been able to 'walk' on his own on the bed and we are so proud of him! But as usual, the minute we try to get him to walk on his own on the floor he dropped onto his fours and start crawling again. Well at least there's some progress here. Hopefully, Isaac will be able to walk on his own very soon. :)

Update

It has been a while since Mummy last posted on Isaac's update. Much has happened but Mummy was just too busy and lazy to blog it down :P

Here's a quick run-down of Isaac's recent 'milestones':

- His vocabulary has expanded from Apple, duck duck, dog dog, car car, mumm, up to bubbles, flower, go, banana, key, Jesus!, Ma Ma, nan nan (milk), cat, no more, go go and che che.

- Develop a strong interest in girls! Isaac will always break into a his ever-charming smile when he sees girls, be it young or old. Ah Gong said he's a playboy in the making! hahaha

- He's currently 77cm tall and weighs a whopping 10.2 kg! :)

- Isaac had taken his MMR & Chickenpox shots, though he didn't developed any fever but he had rash patches on his back and belly. We didn't want to take any chances and decided to bring him to the GP for a check. Thank god, it was just a reaction to his shots and the rashes had since subside.

- Visited by the tooth fairy again! And this time round, he's expecting another 4 pearlies, 2 from the upper and 2 from the lower. With the pearlies, come the drools too!

- His menu has also expanded from porridge and porridge to pasta and mee sua. Not very adventurous but it's a good start ;P

- His walk has became more stable, in fact he can almost break into a run but he still needed support. But we are pretty confident that he will be able to walk on his own pretty soon!

Up up and away to the Singapore Flyer...

Today is Ah Gong's birthday and we decided to give him a treat on the flyer... yes, the Singapore Flyer. It was our first trip to the Singapore Flyer and we were all pretty excited about it but am sad to say that the ride was certainly over-hyped. The whole ride took about 30 mins but by the first 10 mins we were all kinda bored except for Isaac who's always ever curious and excited over every little thing! He was busy walking around the capsule to check out the view. After the ride we went for dinner before we head back home to celebrate Ah Gong's birthday. Once again, Isaac was all excited when he saw the birthday cake and was even more so when we started to sing the birthday song. Guess he must have thought it was his birthday again!
