It has been a while since Mummy last posted on Isaac's update. Much has happened but Mummy was just too busy and lazy to blog it down :P
Here's a quick run-down of Isaac's recent 'milestones':
- His vocabulary has expanded from Apple, duck duck, dog dog, car car, mumm, up to bubbles, flower, go, banana, key, Jesus!, Ma Ma, nan nan (milk), cat, no more, go go and che che.
- Develop a strong interest in girls! Isaac will always break into a his ever-charming smile when he sees girls, be it young or old. Ah Gong said he's a playboy in the making! hahaha
- He's currently 77cm tall and weighs a whopping 10.2 kg! :)
- Isaac had taken his MMR & Chickenpox shots, though he didn't developed any fever but he had rash patches on his back and belly. We didn't want to take any chances and decided to bring him to the GP for a check. Thank god, it was just a reaction to his shots and the rashes had since subside.
- Visited by the tooth fairy again! And this time round, he's expecting another 4 pearlies, 2 from the upper and 2 from the lower. With the pearlies, come the drools too!
- His menu has also expanded from porridge and porridge to pasta and mee sua. Not very adventurous but it's a good start ;P
- His walk has became more stable, in fact he can almost break into a run but he still needed support. But we are pretty confident that he will be able to walk on his own pretty soon!

Up up and away to the Singapore Flyer...
Today is Ah Gong's birthday and we decided to give him a treat on the flyer... yes, the Singapore Flyer. It was our first trip to the Singapore Flyer and we were all pretty excited about it but am sad to say that the ride was certainly over-hyped. The whole ride took about 30 mins but by the first 10 mins we were all kinda bored except for Isaac who's always ever curious and excited over every little thing! He was busy walking around the capsule to check out the view. After the ride we went for dinner before we head back home to celebrate Ah Gong's birthday. Once again, Isaac was all excited when he saw the birthday cake and was even more so when we started to sing the birthday song. Guess he must have thought it was his birthday again!

Haircut
Getting a haircut is often, if not, always a traumatic experience for young kids. So when we decided to give Isaac his much needed haircut, we're prepared for the worst - a screaming and crying kid, and a pair of helpless parents! We were even more convinced that will happened when we arrived at the salon to witness a 3-year old boy screaming and crying at the top of his voice. Almost like he was being abused by the hair stylist auntie! While we were waiting for our turn, we both took a deep breath and brace ourselves for the impending 'trauma'. But surprisingly, Isaac took this whole haircut episode pretty well though he seems a little apprehensive! He even waved at the hair stylist auntie - Auntie Eva before she began. He seemed to find it pretty amusing, kept wanting to check out what Auntie Eva is doing to his head! He only gave a small cry when Auntie Eva cut his 'side burn' but was then easily distracted by a sheet of Barney stickers. And voila! Isaac has got a new haircut, the second after his first when he was 2 month old.
Here's how the whole haircut episode went...

Mummy, are you sure I've got to get a haircut?

But I like my hair like this!

You're sure I will look better after my haircut?

Where is your duckie?
Never underestimate the ability of a 1 year old. It started out with us wanting to tease Isaac by placing his duckie toy amidst his other toys (hoping that he couldn't find/see it) and asking him," Isaac, where is your duckie?" and gosh! He really knows which is which and picked up his duckie! We couldn't believe our eyes! Didn't want to believe that it's just pure coincidence, we placed another toy -his car and asked him to pick and he could! And then followed by his ball, and he managed to pick it out too! He really knows his stuff! Can't tell how proud I was at that moment, it's like my little baby has grown up and has began to learn and understand his surroundings and stuff. Can't wait for more of such 'surprises' that Isaac will spring on us!
