Up, up and away...

It has been quite awhile since my last post, mummy has been both busy and lazy! :P Here's a quick update on Isaac... Isaac has just turned 9 months old and managed to stand on his own with support! This latest feat of his has certainly gotten all of us excited! While we are all glad that he's developing well on schedule. The thought that this little monkey of ours will be walking soon is certainly exciting but at the same time scary... this means that we will have to start babyproofing our house before this little monkey turns our house into his playground! :)

Forgive mummy okay...

I have always wanted to be a SAHM so that I can be there to witness Isaac's developmental milestones. Today I felt this urge even stronger after reading an article in My Paper, "Where are you mummy?". The writer talks about how maids have became the main caregiver for children instead of their mothers. While mothers are working hard, hoping to earn more to give their kids a better life, in actual fact what your kids needed most is your presence - to be there for them to share their joy.

I felt real sad after reading it, it made me feel so guilty. For not being there for Isaac when he needed his mummy. :( I really wish I could but for practical reasons, I can't. Please forgive mummy for not being there for you whenever you needed me. Trust me, mummy really wish she could but at times she couldn't. But remember this always, mummy loves you...

The dreaded Tooth Fairy has arrived...

The much dreaded tooth fairy has finally arrived and she has bestowed not 1 but 2 pearlies for Little Isaac!! :( These 'new gifts' are causing some discomfort to Little Isaac... for the past week he has been kinda cranky, exhibiting the typical teething symptoms, excessive drooling, wanting to bite on any and every single thing he can lay his hands on and those sudden outburst of crying (thank god they only last for less then 10 mins!). We have also noticed some atypical symptoms like spitting/vomiting after his milk feed, sticking out his tongue to rub his lower gum... other than that, he seems to welcome his new pearlies like some new toys... Well we can only hope that the tooth fairy will be kinder to Little Isaac and not make him 'pay' for his pearlies.

Having A Splashing Good Time

Today we finally brought Isaac for his first swim and he had a great time! At first we wanted to bring him to the pool near our place but it was closed. :( But luckily, we found out the nearby pool was opened and made our way there instead.

A shot before we take the plunge. Isaac was feeling a little sleepy then but was all alert once he got into the pool! :)

Still dreamy while in his duckie float...

And it didn't take long before Isaac got all excited and started to have a splashing good time in the pool!

In the end, Isaac was having so much fun that he refused to come out of the pool! And it took us a while to coax him out and 'wrap up' for the day.

After the morning swim, he fell asleep almost immediately once we are in the car. It was an enjoyable trip and we certainly look forward to more swimming trips!

Happy Baby :)

Little Isaac seems extremely happy this week. He's always laughing and wanting to play. His laughter are so infectious that he's making everyone around him so happy too :) And these days he's getting more verbal, amusing everyone with his baabaa, ahha and paapaa.

Here's Isaac enjoying himself in his evenflo exersaucer (USD 120!). Definitely money well-spent!
