The Meet Up For The Little Ones

Yesterday, we finally met up with Aunty E & family and had lunch together. Something which we have never done with the little ones and I must say it's actually quite fun! But I don't know what Aunty E would say cos she has her hands full on her 2 little ones though...

After lunch, we parted ways with Aunty E who has to do some shopping and made our way to Isaac's favourite shop... Toys R' Us!!

Just when it's mummy's turn to have her picture taken with Isaac, the camera went kaput! The camera shutter just died on us! What luck! And the best part, this isn't our camera!! It's Grandma's! Haizz let's hope that it can be repaired, else we will have to get her another camera :(

Mothers' Day

It was Mummy's first Mothers' Day on Sunday and it was a sickly one! Both mothers are sick - Ah Ma & Mummy, as both were infected by Isaac's potent flu bug! With both mummies down, there's only Kaka to take care of Isaac and let's hope that Kaka will not be hit by the nasty flu bug too.

The only consolation Mummy got out of this sickly Mothers' Day was Isaac's first kiss!

This was what happened...
Mummy: "Hey Isaac, today is Mothers' Day aren't you going to do anything for mummy?"
Daddy laughing at the background and Isaac stopped what he was doing and stared at Mummy.
Mummy: "It's my first Mothers' Day you know"
Daddy is still laughing at Mummy, then suddenly Isaac started to crawl towards Mummy and planted a wet kiss onto Mummy's lips!
Daddy was shocked and stopped laughing, while Mummy was in cloud nine and hugging Isaac!
Mummy: " That's my boy!"
Isaac :"Hmm.... huh..." before wriggling out of Mummy's grip and continued playing with his pillow.

So whether this was accidental or intentional, Mummy chosen to believe the latter!

Happy Mothers' Day to all the mummies out there! Keep up the good job! :)

Down with flu...

Isaac has been feeling under the weather since last weekend and today we finally brought him to his PD... and yes, he has been hit by the flu bug. The poor boy hasn't been sleeping well due to his blocked nose and has lost weight due to his poor appetite as well as his puking episodes. Let's hope he will recover soon.

The Attack of the Tooth Fairy... AGAIN!

The weekend was a nightmare for both Isaac and mummy as the Tooth Fairy has striked again! Once again, she has bestowed another 2 new pearlies for Isaac - this time round it's the upper central incisor! :( They have caused Isaac so much pain that he's unable to sleep through the night and often wake up crying in pain. It was made worse for him as he's also having a slight running nose and low-grade fever... it really pains us to see him suffer like that. Due to the pain, Isaac has lost quite a bit of his smiles and cheekiness, and not forgetting his appetite. Let's just hope that this phrase will be over soon so that both Isaac and mummy can get back the much deprived sleep! As well as his smiles :) While this is all part of growing up (as Isaac's daddy said)... But we do hope that Ms. Tooth Fairy will be much kinder to Isaac with her next round of 'gifts'. Pleassssssse don't cause Isaac so much pain okay ;)

Thanks to a tip-off by Aunty D, we found ourselves spending the May Day holiday combing through tonnes of toys at the Mattel toys sale at Lok Yang Way. And I'm proud to say, here's our loot:

Up, up and away...

It has been quite awhile since my last post, mummy has been both busy and lazy! :P Here's a quick update on Isaac... Isaac has just turned 9 months old and managed to stand on his own with support! This latest feat of his has certainly gotten all of us excited! While we are all glad that he's developing well on schedule. The thought that this little monkey of ours will be walking soon is certainly exciting but at the same time scary... this means that we will have to start babyproofing our house before this little monkey turns our house into his playground! :)

Forgive mummy okay...

I have always wanted to be a SAHM so that I can be there to witness Isaac's developmental milestones. Today I felt this urge even stronger after reading an article in My Paper, "Where are you mummy?". The writer talks about how maids have became the main caregiver for children instead of their mothers. While mothers are working hard, hoping to earn more to give their kids a better life, in actual fact what your kids needed most is your presence - to be there for them to share their joy.

I felt real sad after reading it, it made me feel so guilty. For not being there for Isaac when he needed his mummy. :( I really wish I could but for practical reasons, I can't. Please forgive mummy for not being there for you whenever you needed me. Trust me, mummy really wish she could but at times she couldn't. But remember this always, mummy loves you...
